Burn out
Sleepless nights? Can't get your mind off of the stress of the day? Sometimes it feels like we can't move on. The pressures of work, family relationships old and new, and the weight of our own personal baggage seem unsurmountable. We push it away to just to find it coming back worse and worse. It is time to make peace with ourselves. Sometimes the only way out is through.
Its time to listen to our feelings and find a path forward.
In counseling together, we can address stress and burn out in a few different ways:
Put it Down. You may be unaware of the weight you are bearing. Therapists offer a secure, private space for you to relax, unload your troubles, and feel listened to and validated, thus giving you an opportunity to heal.
Let it Out. You don’t have to shoulder your stress by yourself. Opening up to someone else gives you a chance to sort out your thoughts, find solutions to reduce your stress, and gain new personal perspectives.
Stay Light. Many of us tend to overload ourselves, put others first, and try to control what we can’t, and therapy can help you change that. You can learn to establish healthy limits, take good care of yourself, and concentrate on what counts the most.
What will counseling be like to address my burn out?
We all know what it feels like to carry too much stress - including myself. No matter how hard it seems, I know therapy can help make it better if we can hold onto our courage and willingness to change. In my practice, I integrate multiple forms of experiential and solutions oriented practices that are grounded in evidence based modalities. Interventions are pulled from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) as well as a variety of more somatic oriented approaches, harm reduction psychotherapy, and more.
We all face difficulties. We all encounter situations where we feel weak, hopeless, and broken. We all go through highs and lows, pains and pleasures. I have faith that, no matter what you have endured, you have the potential to make things better. You can tap into your inner strength, freedom, and control.
Together, we can make it happen.
