You are welcome

There are many reasons one might seek therapy;  recent big life changes such as new relationships, new jobs, a major loss, a big move, a new child in their life. Others may not be sure what to do about their substance use.  Perhaps they are losing excitement in their lives or even just getting overall burned out. No matter why you are seeking support, there is courage and strength in you for taking this next step to get the support you need.

Be heard. Be understood.

The space that is created as you engage in a counseling session is truly unique.  When we go to counseling we want to do it without fear of harsh or judgmental attitudes about our behaviors or thoughts we are less comfortable with. This is a great opportunity to start to work on some of the things that have been keeping you from moving on or finding a new footing in life.    My aim is to provide a relaxed space where can you can explore, problem solve,  gain new perspectives and ideas for self care and figuring things out..

We all have areas of suffering in our lives.

Can we find ways to accept the present while shifting in the direction of who we truly want to be?  Initially we will engage basic assessment questions as we get to know each other.  Then we will plan around the focus and the approaches that make sense. In our sessions, I will actively incorporate various evidence based practices to help us go deeper and move you towards the change you are looking for.

Let's find a way forward together.

About me

I am a licensed clinician who has extensive clinical experience. My interest in psychology stems from interest in learning about myself. As a teenager and young adult, I went through a variety of mental health and substance use challenges, landing me in therapy and substance use treatment.  This history is what motivates me as a therapist. I feel truly blessed to be able to provide support to those who have gone through similar issues as my own.

In my personal life...

When I am not spending time with my wife and kids, you may find me practicing an instrument, surfing or hiking, with a little bit of TV and video games on the side.
